Everyday is Halloween

…on the New York City subway. I’m on it enough, I know.
Scary.

And today is the day parents show off the little monsters so they can all go insane with late-night sugar attacks. If their children are anything like some of the trust fund kids in my neighborhood, it is indeed a frightening day.

BACK IN MY DAY...we walked our own asses around to get candy. Now these little bastards are ferried around in autos by mommy from hood to hood. Kids these days...ugh.

I bagged a run about a mile in because I actually feared getting egged by bands of roving teenagers. Sigh. I probably could get egged on any evening run.

Are you watching the Trials up close and personal tomorrow?

AR, y'know, I feel the same way as you do, 'kids these days' and all that, but did they choose to get ferried around in the SUV with DVD player blazing, or did the parents choose? Old excuse, blame the parents, I know, but kids sure get used to the good life gone overboard.

Yes, Renee, I'm all into watching other people (fast-fast-fast people at that) go through the joy of marathoning. Should be interesting, especially since it will be over faster than you or I could conceive of.
